It is not very often that one witnesses an ugly fight between the players and the spectators. However, at Friday night’s game, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, who was sitting courtside, engaged in a nasty altercation during the halftime buzzer. The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Memphis Grizzlies at the Crypto.com arena, and that’s when Sharpe and several Grizzlies players engaged in a heated argument after Fox analyst and Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant, were seen shouting at each other in the courtside. Following the breakout, the duo engaged again after the third quarter but for a different reason, leaving the NBA Twitter in a meltdown.
The NFL star Shannon Sharpe doesn’t walk away from arguments and debates, as his TV career stands as proof. Recently he took a dig at the Lakers star, LeBron James over his upcoming NBA record. He said, “I don’t like accomplishments and I don’t feel right when it comes to a losing record.”

After the halftime nasty trash talk, Shannon Sharpe and Tee Morant were hugging it out after the third quarter. Dave McMenamin, an ESPN reporter shared the images of the duo hugging with a tweet, “Cooler heads have prevailed for Shannon Sharpe and Tee Morant. They shared an embrace at the end of the third quarter.”

While the reason behind the halftime altercation has still not been revealed, as per the available visuals, Tee Morant and Grizzlies star Steve Adams was seen shouting at Sharpe after the second quarter. The staff and authorities barged into the scene to separate the duo. However, McMenamin further tweeted Tee Morant’s statement after the game. He said, “Shannon didn’t do anything. Hey, he was doing like we do in South Carolina: We talk our s—. … South Carolina, stand up!”

Though the fans expected the beef to stay longer, the duo ended the fight before game time.
Sharpe’s side of the story
While the triggering factor is unclear, Sharpe issued a brief statement on his side of the story to McMenamin. He said, “It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, F— me. I said ‘F— you’ back. He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.
