LeBron James proved that age is just a number. In his 19th season, he averaged more than 30 points per game in over 50 games. He broke records and achieved milestones. But all that was in vain. From the team’s perspective, this was probably one of the worst seasons of LeBron’s career. He missed the playoffs for only the 4th time in his career. He has never finished the season as low as he did this season.

The Lakers were abysmal. The roster was filled with veterans and they had an abundance of experience but none of their offseason trades worked out. However, LeBron individually had a good season, all things considered.

Another player this season whose team did not have a season as good as he did individually was Trae Young. The Atlanta Hawks qualified for the play-in tournament but failed to make it past the first round. The Heat won against the Hawks rather comfortably.

Neither LeBron nor Trae got the support they needed to some extent. But what if they were on the same roster?

DC Young Fly wants LeBron James in Atlanta

The recent episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast featured the millionaire YouTuber DC Young Fly. DC Young Fly is an Atlanta-born rapper, songwriter, comedian, actor, host, and famous for his roasting videos on Instagram and Vine. Shannon Sharpe and Fly talked about the Hawks after their elimination.

“I mean he [LeBron] really need to come to Atlanta if he tired. Ain’t that what he need to come to if he tired.” said Fly about wanting LeBron to partner up with Trae in the Hawks.

This season, LeBron became the only player ever to have more than 10,000 points, assists, and rebounds each. He also surpassed Karl Malone to become the player with the second-most points in the history of the game.

On the other hand, individually, Trae Young was also tremendous the whole season. He became only the second player since Tiny Archibald in 1972-73 to finish the regular season with the most points (2155) and most assists (737). He also set a franchise record with 232 3-pointers this season.

Before this Fly also talked about how it is important for Atlanta to hold on to Trae Young. He said, “Trae ain’t going nowhere. — Listen y’all need to do my boy right y’all need to build a team around him don’t let him go.”

Both LeBron and Trae are absolutely vital for their teams going forward and building a team around them. However, one can only imagine if Trae and LeBron played together, how much damage could the duo cause.
