‘Lost for Words’: LeBron James Reacts to Being Named in the NBA 75 Greatest Players List

The 2021-22 NBA season had one of the most interesting off seasons in recent times. However, it is also special for another reason. This also marks the 75th season of the National Basketball Association. To mark this occasion, the league put out 75 players who are pioneers of the game. On Day 3, LeBron James made the list and the ‘King’ reacted to being included.

LeBron is no new face when it comes to the NBA. His on court achievements speak for themselves. But he has done a lot outside the court as well. James has helped the game grow and excel by his actions on and off the court. There is no doubt he is one of the pioneers to this game. Hence, he was on the final list of the 75 most influential players for the league.

However, LeBron was not always in the limelight. He comes from a humble background and worked himself to where he is today. Hence, upon seeing his name on the list, James couldn’t believe it.

LeBron James honored to be part of NBA 75 list

Prior to this, the league had put out 2 other lists with 25 players each. It included names such as Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan. The last list was headlined by Stephen Curry, Shaq and LeBron. When he get the news, the ‘King’ took to twitter to express his gratitude to being on the list.

LeBron may be worth a billion today, but that the case 19 years ago. LeBron came from a poor background and had to work extremely hard to make his name. Even on entering the league, he was surrounded with pressure. But fighting through it all, he became a pioneer for the sport of basketball. From opening schools to charity, he has done everything to help the society. This was the main reason his name featured in the last list, and James couldn’t be more honored as his journey was recognized.

While everyone else isn’t surprised, James is reminiscing his journey. The ‘King’ deserves this as he continues to help promote the game in good spirit.
