Making it to the NBA is every young male basketball player’s dream, and getting there takes a lot of hard work and discipline. Recently, Kevin Durant took to Twitter and criticized a student’s dribble move from a clip that had gone viral. However, instead of taking insult to it, the student took it in his stride and had an extremely humble response.
Durant is a man of principle and discipline; he is an example of how hard work paved his way to be successful. KD had to struggle and had his difficult times before making it to the big stage. However, all of that was not possible without the right discipline in him. So when he saw the move on Twitter, Durant felt like that wasn’t the right approach and stated, “This sh** stinks.”
In a follow up tweet, Durant also stated that he was harsh in his criticism because it’s all about forming the right habits on the court, even as a youngster. Recently, the student came out and reacted to his criticism. However, he handled it in a very mature manner.

This is great maturity coming from an 8th grader. Moore took the criticism really well and understands the true meaning behind it. While it was an old video, Moore’s move was not as great as it looked since it would have no real impact on a high caliber defender. Moreover, he also missed the shot. Hence, Durant’s tough love sent out a good message to him.
Getting it from one of the best to ever to it, Moore knew it was good for him. Durant has always been transparent with his opinion, and when it comes to basketball, he will speak his mind.
