The New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has been under the scanner over his fitness ever since entering the league. Williamson has missed a majority of the games this season owing to multiple injuries. Notably, several NBA legends like Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley even commented on his fitness. The 2x NBA All-Star again received a lot of backlash over his massive decision recently. In response to the viral update, NBA fans flooded the social media comments section roasting the Pelicans star.

Williamson has only played 29 games so far this season. He played his last game on January 2 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The star exited the arena after playing 28 minutes of the game after a hamstring string. The hoops community is yet to witness the star in action after that. However, a recent report stated that he could return to the hardwood before the playoffs. A certain section of fans even predicted that the viral update might have hinted at the star’s return to the court.

Zion Williamson got inked

After a silent few months, Pelicans star Zion Williamson went viral among the hoops community with his tattoo. The 22-year-old star got his first-ever tattoo on his back recently. The star’s tattoo artist, Anthony Michaels, shared the video of the process on his Instagram with a brief message.

He wrote, “@zionwilliamson trusted me with his first-ever tattoo – humbled is an understatement. Thank you brother.” The tattoo spread across the upper part of his back with the words ‘Mount Zion’ in a stylized font.
