Shaquille O’Neal posted a video of him exercising on a rooftop. He captioned the post ‘this is the life’ while tagging the Abu Dhabi tourism account. A few days later, on the Big Podcast, Shaq opened up about his recent visit to Abu Dhabi. This left his co-host and NFL Veteran, Spice Adams, shocked.

The Big Podcast features Shaq, Spice Adams, and Nischelle Turner. In the latest episode, the trio spoke about Thanksgiving fashion and the recent developments in the world of basketball. Shaq also revealed a big purchase that he made with his $400 million dollar net worth.

Shaquille O’Neal leaves NFL Veteran surprised

Co-host Nischelle Turner asked Shaq about his trip to Abu Dhabi. Shaq stated he flew down there to make a big purse purchase. He said, “I had to buy me a little crib there, on the water.” Both Turner and Adams were surprised by this. While Turner asked Shaq if he was now a resident of the UAE, Adams reacted with a “Sheeeesh”.

The Lakers legend also mentioned that he visited the Yas Marina Circuit to support 7-time World champion Lewis Hamilton at the Formula-1 race. He then went on to talk about the people he hung out with.

Turner pointed out that Shaq has now visited Abu Dhabi twice in two months. Previously, he had traveled with the NBA as the ambassador of the 2022 NBA Abu Dhabi games. During that visit, the peace, hospitality, and love he received from the place left Shaq enamored.

Shaq’s first visit to Abu Dhabi

In an interview with the Mirror, he claimed that this is the prettiest place after Singapore that he has ever visited. Shaq compared Abu Dhabi to Miami. He said, “It’s like Miami – very beautiful, very clean.” 

He also stated that Abu Dhabi could be his potential home. Supposedly, on his first trip, Shaq even spent time shopping and taking pictures with the locals. While Shaq was doing so, locals were chanting Shaq’s name out loud, claimed a fan.

He was seen doing the typical touristy stuff of visiting. Shaq seemed to be an adventurous spirit as he drove through the Yas Marina Circuit and experienced desert quad biking.

During the interview, Shaq stated that he was interested in the real estate sector of the city. So it comes as no surprise that Shaq ended up buying a house here.
