The Los Angeles Lakers are finally looking like a unit on the floor. Being winless since preseason, their hunger to taste victory keeps growing. Goes up against a young but impressive Memphis team, they Lakers are holding their nerves this time around. Now the purple and gold have one task at hand which is to finish the job this time around. And Carmelo Anthony is doing his job at its finest.

The Lakers have been in a better position in all their games to this point. They had a significant lead against the Golden State Warriors bur threw it away at the end. They had the game close with Phoenix before they went all over the place and failed to score points. However, this has been the story of the season for the Lakers so far.

But things are looking good tonight as the ‘Big 3’ is showing out. In addition, the bench is doing some serious damage to Ja Morant and the Grizzles.

Carmelo Anthony puts on a show for the Lakers

Carmelo Anthony has been one of the best scorers in the NBA since he came in. However, he isn’t playing the big minutes right now. But that isn’t stopping him from putting on a show. While being 5 points away to Malone on the all time scoring lost, Melo hit back to back threes to take his place in history. He now sits at 27410 points and looks to keeps scoring.

Russell Westbrook seems back in his element as he makes his way to a quick 13 points and 12 assists double double. Anthony Davis is dominating the paint as he puts up 18 points. LeBron James has had a rather quiet night with only 11 points so far. Carmelo Anthony is hot from the bench with 16 points coming from him. Their defense still looks unsettled, but the Lakers are slowly getting there.

Memphis came off the half with a hot start going on a 14-7 run. Likewise, Ja Morant is putting on a show yet again. He has compiled 27 points and 10 assists in 3 quarters. Desmond Bane keeps adding to his tally putting up 15 points. Steven Adams has his own double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, The Grizzles outscoring the Lakers by 9, they now hold a lead going into the final quarter.
