Miami Heat could not match the Denver Nuggets’ firepower in Game 1. Nikola Jokic single-handedly out-powered Jimmy Butler and his men with his physical prowess. Despite Butler and Bam Adebayo’s attempts to raise the ante, Denver continued to suffocate the Heat’s offense with a dominating defense. With countless opinions pouring in after the defeat, it seems Miami is facing some heat.

The Thursday night game had a nightmare ending for the Heat as they succumbed to a 104-93 loss. Additionally, the most-awaited Gabe Vincent and Maxx Strus failed to deliver in the initial part of the game.

Taking a dig at the Heat with a harsh comparison, Duncan said, “This sort of feels like asking the egg ‘Do you want to get fried or scrambled?’ Either way, you’re going to get cooked.” 

Notably, the Nuggets stormed the playoffs with dominant performances, and importantly, have lost only 3 games in the entire postseason. On the other side, the Heat have an underdog story. G Vincent and Strus failed to drop a single point in the first half of the game. However, Vincent dropped 19 points in the latter half, but Strus didn’t bother the scorers.
