The NBA regular season is heating up as teams battle it out. However, on only the second day, NBA fans may have seen the game of the year. The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks went to war in a double-overtime battle. The Knicks came out on top, but Boston showed some serious heart. Likewise, LeBron James and fellow NBA stars were all buzzing, looking at this game.

While it looked like the Celtics were all done, but some 4th quarter heroics tied the game up. After that, Madison Square Garden became a battlefield as the two giants went toe to toe in every possession. Jaylen Brown was sizzling hot tonight, but his efforts were not enough.

It was a game filled with excitement and drama all around. Players like LeBron James and Jamal Crawford took to Twitter to share their thoughts on this enthralling game.

Knicks-Celtics game goes down to the wire

Stars came out to ball in the game between Boston and the Knicks. Both sides went on a three-point rampage in overtime and it was only a matter of one miss to determine the outcomes. The Knicks held their nerve this time and took home the win.

Boston put up a valiant effort, especially Jaylen Brown who erupted for 46 points on his return to the regular season. However, his partner, Jayson Tatum was off for the night. While he did add 20 points, he shot just 7-30 from the field in the double-overtime loss. Schroder added 12 points and 8 assists to the mix for his new team.

On the other hand, Julius Randle kept his form intact from the last preseason thriller. He ended the game with 35 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. New Knick, Evan Fournier was on fire as he added 29 points to the tally to go with 4 steals and just 1 turnover. All in all, it was a game for the ages and has set the benchmark high for this season. This is only the beginning and there is a lot more to come from the 75th season of the NBA.
