The Dallas Mavericks were touted as one of the best teams this season. However, they struggled to find their groove in the first few games. But in their last 3 fixtures, Luka Doncic and co. are playing terrific.
They are on a 3 game winning streak and they have another good news for them. Their second superstar Kristaps Porzingis is returning to action after missing the last few months due to a knee injury. Porzingis picked up this injury in the Mavericks’ battle against the LA Clippers in the 2020 postseason.

Although Porzingis was set to make his season debut against the New Orleans Pelicans, fans will have to wait for the Big Man’s debut. Right after the news broke about Porzingis’ return, another news came in that the Mavs vs the Pelicans game has been postponed.

Regardless of the delay, Porzingis will soon enter the court in a Dallas Mavericks jersey. As of now, the biggest concern for NBA fans is that the league might get shut down once again. The number of positive COVID-19 cases have increased in the past few weeks. If this continues, we might not see NBA action for an indefinite amount of time like last season.

Kristaps Porzingis is finally back for the Mavericks
Many believe if Porzingis was available for the Mavericks for the entire series vs the Clippers, they would have ended up with a series victory. Honestly, Luka Doncic himself pushed the Clippers to six games and if the Mavs had Porzingis alongside Luka, we might have seen the Clippers getting eliminated in the first round itself.

However, that is all in the past, now with KP returning to the roster, the Mavericks have a chance to make an early push for the playoffs. Right now, they are 5-4 in their first 9 games of the season. But with KP returning to action, the sky is the limit for Dallas.
