The four-time NBA champion clarified that he only called Kyrie Irving an idiot because the Brooklyn Nets guard put himself in jeopardy. O’Neal explained that there were plenty of controversial movies. While being a theatre owner, he would let it screen in his theatres or watch it himself but he wouldn’t go online and influence other people to do the same. Irving has millions of followers, therefore, he should not have talked about a controversial piece on a public platform. Shaq’s co-host Nischelle Turner said that it was a good thing Shaq cleared out the matter since many people had questioned his comment. However, the Los Angeles Lakers legend said that he did not care what others felt about his comment.
