Philadelphia 76ers legend Charles Barkley bid adieu to the world of professional basketball almost 23 years ago. While he has stayed connected with the happenings of the NBA through his TNT show, Barkley has also used his time to focus on other sports as well. Most particularly – golf. As a way of staying in competition with other people, Barkley has continued to improve upon his golf game over the past few years.

After getting into a tussle with Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, the former player was recently seen on a social media post, flexing his new achievement alongside two other golfers.

Barkley flexes his weight loss

39-year-old NBA Champion Andre Iguodala recently took to Instagram to share a post with his 1.7 million Followers. The post showed the 4x champ standing alongside Barkley and Mike ‘the Miz’ Mizanin, a professional wrestler for the WWE. The picture was taken during the American century championship, a celebrity tournament held in Nevada.

The post, which was captioned, “Sink this ball… I’m TIGER WOODS!” by Iguodala, showed Barkley flexing off his 100-pound loss, which he has been able to achieve due to an effective diabetes medication. The TNT Analyst sure looks to be in a much better shape after having achieved this remarkable feat.

Barkley has had prior troubles on the golf course. However, he has been able to overcome them in order to improve upon his game.

Despite physical progress, Barkley suffers a brutal defeat from Stephen Curry

During the final game of the championship, Barkley gained the spotlight after getting back-to-back birdies ‘for the first time in his life’. While it was a remarkable feat, Barkley couldn’t maintain the spotlight on himself for too long.

On the very same day, Stephen Curry made an astonishing 18-foot putt in order to win the American Century championship. After making the shot, Curry was seen throwing his hat in the air and running off to hug his wife, as the onlookers and commentators let out cheers.

Having played the sport since the age of 10, Curry has been a dominant personality on the golf course. While he has had a few achievements to his name, this match marked Curry’s first victory in a golf tournament. It also marks the first time an African American has taken home the prestigious trophy

Out of the 93-player field, Barkley finished 81, brutally losing to the 9x NBA All-Star.
