Women wrestlers do not have a fame equivalent to that of men. However, for Jade Cargill, things are going her own way. Initially a part of All Elite Wrestling [AEW], Cargill has now announced a new chapter in her life which shocked many. As media attention continues to pile up on the 31-year-old, let’s take a look into the connection that spurred her early fame. Not many wrestlers have got a “high profile” entry into the wrestling world, but Cargill was blessed with one by Big Diesel himself.

Shaquille O’Neal gave Jade Cargill a debut to remember

It’s not easy being Jade Cargill. She did receive a huge boost on her entry into the AEW, but things were a lot different before she starred in her first match. As a women’s wrestler, Cargill revealed that she faced a lot of hindrances before choosing this as her career path. The criticism was not just from the public, but from her own mother who was not a fan of her wrestling desires. Cargill’s mother opposed her entry into the wrestling world, despite which she made a bold move of joining AEW. 

One bad start could have killed her hopes. However, Cargill got the best start ever to her career and LA champion Shaquille O’Neal was one of the reasons. Cargill got the opportunity to tag-team with the 7-foot giant on her debut in the AEW in 2020. 

The Los Angeles Lakers legend squared up against 38-year-old Cody Rhodes. Although he ended up on the floor after taking a lot of damage, Cargill managed to win her first battle.

In 2022, Cargill would win the AEW TBS championship and go on to hold the belt for 508 days straight! Now, the champion is looking to conquer new grounds. 

Jade Cargill sets foot into WWE

Cargill’s brave move to enter the wrestling world has finally given her an answer. The AEW champion has announced her free agency with the WWE.

Though a spot in the main roster is yet to be confirmed, this is a start to many in the WWE world for the 31-year-old. Media houses continue to credit Cargill for performing in a “high profile fashion” which has helped her enter the WWE, just two years into professional wrestling.
