The 2023 festive season has almost begun and Marcus Jordan is ready to count his blessings, albeit away from his family dinner table. With only Larsa Pippen by his side to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Trophy Room owner shared the reason behind not going back to Chicago this time. 

Marcus has had an eventful year. For one, Michael Jordan infamously disapproved of their relationship. However, the same cannot be said for the rest of Marcus’ and Larsa’s family. Welcoming only happy thoughts for now, the duo sat down with Heidi and Spencer Pratt for the latest episode of the Speidi’s 16th Minute.

Marcus revealed he won’t be able to join his family because of his ailing nephew. He mentioned how his mother, Juanita, would be helping his sister Jasmine. He noted, “So my mom’s family is from Chicago. So typically I would go back to Chicago, but my sister has a son; my nephew…he’s gonna have a little surgery.”

He further added, “His he’s getting his adenoids taken out and so my mom is gonna be with my sister so it’s all kinda broken up…This year, we’re all kinda broken up, so I’m gonna catch up with my family later.” 

While talking about Thanksgiving, the two recounted their last year’s celebration when Marcus united with the RHOM star’s family. The latter spoke highlyabout her boyfriend’s relationship with her family.

Larsa Pippen’s family loves Marcus Jordan 

The 49-year-old mentioned how her parents have approved of their relationship and acknowledged his company. This is unlike Michael Jordan who straight up said “no“ when asked whether he approved of his son’s relationship. Sharing moments from last year’s Thanksgiving, Larsa noted,

“Like last Thanksgiving we spent with my parents, like, for half of the day, I feel like. My parents loved you. My mom tried to overfeed you. Yeah, and my dad talked politics with you, which means you’re killing it. That’s true. And I feel like my mom and you you guys are like besties.“

Marcus’s mother Juanita, on the other hand, has been supportive of their relationship. The Trophy Room owner revealed how his mother and girlfriend have a great connection. Nevertheless, these are unprecedented times for the Jordan family, and with Marcus’s admittance of his family being “broken up” that could have had a dash of sadness, one could only hope for Marcus to eventually reunite with his folks soon.
