It’s that time of the year the Balearics get star-studded. Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie, sailed off to their annual summer retreat with their famous friends last week. But they were still bursting with red, white, and blue energy on the high seas. Magic and Cookie wished their fans a glorious 4th of July weekend with a glimpse into their own celebration in their yacht along with their friends. The cutest bit was their yacht staff joining in on the fun. Just the icing on Magic’s Ibiza cake.

“A great day celebrating the Fourth of July with our friends overseas!” Magic and Cookie wrote on a joint Instagram post. They celebrated with their yachting buddies, Samuel L. Jackson and Cedric the Entertainer along with their respective spouses as well as the corporate and political personalities, John and Vicki Palmer.

Along with the red, white, and blue decoration and the most delectable 4th of July donut moodboard, the yacht’s staff put on a little musical performance. You could practically hear Magic’s signature megawatt smile behind the camera.

It has been Magic and Cookie’s annual tradition to jet off on a yacht vacation with the usual gang of Samuel and Cedric. They sometimes run into Michael Jordan and his wife but he was in the Balearic Islands almost two weeks ago. They always upgrade their 4th of July celebrations from their overseas vacations. A couple of years ago they wished their followers from their holiday in Greece.

Jimmy Kimmel is salty that Magic didn’t invite him again but he fixed that by photoshopping himself into Magic’s posts. Maybe next year, Kimmel. Right now Magic is making the most of his friendship.

Magic Johnson’s vacation gives us FOMO

A week after Michael Jordan was spotted enjoying the Balearic Islands, Magic and Cookie officially kicked off their celebrity couple yacht vacation. Former Coca-Cola executive, Vicki Palmer, and her husband joined the Johnsons with Samuel and LaTanya Jackson in Barcelona, Spain on the first day of their vacation.

They later sailed off to Ibiza where Cedric the Entertainer and his wife, Lorna also joined. The four couples enjoyed lunch at Ibiza’s scenic beach which gave Kimmel serious FOMO.

Magic also cut loose on the waters with his jetskis. Though his Instagram followers were a little distracted by the 64-year-old’s ripped body. And this is only the surface of Magic and Cookie’s summer festivities. Kimmel better brace himself.
