Shaquille O’Neal has endorsed Phoenix Suns center Bol Bol like nobody else. He believes the 24-year-old is the first 7-footer to play and move like a guard because of his unmatched fluidity. The Los Angeles Lakers champion is sure that he was the first to do all of this in the league, even before Victor Wembanyama. That’s the amount of trust and belief Shaq has in the young center. Bol Bol’s performances have not been too catchy this season. However, in his game against the Celtics today, he decided to prove why Shaq was right about him, and hell broke loose on TNT. The 4x champion was back with his hilarious puns but took it too seriously this time, of course, with a smile on his face.

As the camera moved down towards the TNT crew, Shaq was seen having hot tea from a big bowl (or should we say Bol). Weirdly, the 52-year-old ate it with cereal, which sent his co-hosts in disbelief. He cracked open Apple Jacks and added it to the bowl as he shouted, “We gonna talk about my boy Bol Bol!”. Excitement was over the roof for the 2000 MVP as Bol Bol had 10 points and 3 rebounds in just 8 minutes. Had the Suns’ center continued this efficiency in the 2nd half, we might have witnessed more of this absurdity.

Despite the minimal, yet defined role with the Suns, Bol Bol has managed to steal some spotlight with his quick baskets. The 24-year-old is a tough nut to crack on the offense, but he does not get a lot of minutes with the Suns. In games in which he has played more than 20 minutes, Bol Bol has secured a double-digit score each time, except once. Kevin Durant has shared how good of a player Bol Bol is. Shaq believes the same. The LA champion has been watching him closely for quite some time now.

From coaching Bol Bol in high school to analyzing him on live TV, Shaquille O’Neal has always offered support!

Shareef O’Neal and Bol Bol have played together under the guidance of Shaq. The 2000 MVP helped the Suns center improve his game during his younger days. When the first time he saw Bol Bol move on the court, Shaq was left in denial. He never seen a 7ft player dribble up and down, hit crossovers, drop three-pointers, etc. This was back in high school. We do have Wembanyama now, but Bol was the 1st one to bring that game into the NBA. Shaq doesn’t believe Bol is better than the Spurs rookie. However, they should be in the same conversation.

Also, Shaq thinks fans are hesitant to compare the above two because Bol Bol is lazy. He shared in an interview, “Bol Bol can do everything Wemby can do and even a little better. He’s just lazy. So I stand by my statement that Bol Bol was the first seven-foot-five guy to have those skills. And you know whenever I open my mouth, I always try to open my mouth up with facts”.

There is no way you can change Shaq’s narrative unless he wishes to switch. What are your thoughts on Shaq’s take?
