On a recent episode of The Steam Room podcast, Barkley stated that he has his money on Washington. Now, the Michigan team is going into this game as a fan favorite. Their defense is said to be brilliant and can make scoring, for any other team, a difficult task to pull off. However, Sir Charles is very sure of his predictions favoring Washington, also because most of it has been spot on. He said, “I’m all in on Washington.”

“I thought Michigan was the best team that I saw all year offensively and defensively. They proved me to be correct”, Barkley said. Now, despite all the praise and admiration that he has for the Michigan team, the NBA veteran believes that Washington’s offensive game is too good to be kept under control by anyone’s defense. He said, “Washington is gonna score on anybody. Washington can flat-out score on anybody”.

Barkley’s confidence in the Huskies stems from their 21-year-old wide receiver Rome Odunze. He said, “Like I said, that number 1 Mr. Odunze. Man, he is a pleasure to watch.” Now with his predictions set in place, Sir Charles said that he is looking forward to the game. Despite his choice going against the grain, Chuck thinks that he has a strong enough reason to favor the Huskies.
