19-year old Zion Williamson is one of the most exciting prospects in the league. The 2019 NBA Draft’s No. 1 overall pick has been considered a prospect as good as LeBron James, who was the No. 1 overall pick in 2003. On Tuesday, Williamson’s performance impressed another player who had come in 2003, Carmelo Anthony.

New Orleans Pelicans played Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday when Williamson dropped 31 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while shooting 10 out of 17 field goals. Anthony, who was the second overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft praised Williamson after the game.
“I don’t really think he’s comparable to anyone that I have seen. Someone who is as powerful as that, who jumps like that,” he said.

Zion Williamson looking good for the rookie of the season award
Although Zion has missed the start of the season, he made a strong entrance into the NBA, living up to the hype so far. His arrival has lifted the whole team. Over nine games in NBA, he has averaged 21 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. His numbers have been comparable to many legends of the game.
If he continues to perform on the same level, there are not many rookies in the league currently who could beat him to the Rookie of the Season award.
