Out of the Miami Heat’s Former ‘Big Three’, only LeBron James is still playing in the league. Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James were all drafted in the first 5 picks of the 2003 NBA Draft and were the top scorers of their respective teams.

When they all came to Heat, they changed the landscape of the franchise by taking them to the NBA Finals for 4 consecutive years and winning 2 of them.

But nothing lasts forever. After 4 dynamic seasons, LeBron returned to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and 2 seasons later, Bosh retired due to medical reasons and Wade signed with the Chicago Bulls.

Many rumors made the rounds about there being bad blood between James and Wade because of James’ unexpected exit from the Miami Heat. However, both players have passionately dismissed all such claims; in fact, Wade has always shown support for his former teammate.

Dwayne Wade watched LeBron James like a fan

With LeBron leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a championship title after a decade this year, and his partnership with Anthony Davis, his claim to being one of the greatest players ever to have played in the league was all but cemented.

On ESPN’s ‘First Take‘, Wade opened up about LeBron with immense admiration and respect. He said, “I told LeBron that this is the first time that I’ve ever watched you as a real fan.”

He justified his statement by saying, “Because watching him while I am playing against him, I am watching him to see what I can do to kind of up him or to be better.

“And playing with him, I am trying to figure out how we can be great together, how can we win championships? This is the first time I’ve ever watched him as a total fan.”

After watching LeBron dominate the court, Wade revealed that he texted him and said, “Bro! you’re f****** good.” He continued, “He’s an animal. He is one of the best basketball players that’s ever played the game because of the way he plays the game.”

Wade and LeBron’s friendship goes way back. And for that bond to survive through so many struggles seems commendable. On the other hand, LeBron is showing no signs of slowing down.
