With the likes of Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Michael Cooper in the lineup, the 1980s team of the Los Angeles Lakers would leave a mark every time they play. Their performances on the field earned them the nickname “Showtime Lakers”. Add LeBron James to the team and the “Showtime” received another crowd-pleaser.
NBA’s leading scorer of all time, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, felt James would be a perfect fit in the team. When a Twitter user asked him to pick a current NBA player who would do well in his generation, Jabbar said: “Without a doubt, Lebron and The Lakers would be the right team.”
It isn’t surprising to see Jabbar name him. With the Lakers already one of the most formidable teams in the history of the NBA, LeBron’s inclusion has made it further stronger.
