The current situation in the United States of America is not good, to say the least. The country is facing the aftermath of a racial killing. The passing of George Floyd, who was suffocated to death by a Caucasian police officer, has sparked rage across the country. The NBA fraternity shared its grieving thoughts on the issue, and players like LeBron James aren’t letting this one slide past easily.
There has been a drastic increase in violence employed by the protestors. From vandalizing the streets to looting stores, it doesn’t seem to stop. NBA Players and other athletes are trying to control the ongoing fierce protests with a more peaceful approach.
To put a halt to the severity of police brutality and racial discrimination in the country, several people are taking various steps to create widespread awareness. In a recent trend, the U.S. music industry took a pause to stand in solidarity against racial injustice. Blackout Tuesday is a peaceful initiative to curb the violence but, mention with even more pride that Black Lives Matter, just as much as everything else.

The sports industry is following the music industry’s decision to observe a Blackout Tuesday, The idea of the blackout is to shut down for a day and hear everything that is happening outside on the streets. Naturally, a peaceful initiative like this always receives widespread attention from everyone. Hence, the NBA community spared no time in joining hands with the musicians to observe a black day.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James posted the same empty black photo on his Instagram. He added two hashtags to it. “#blackouttuesday” and “#BLM (Black Lives Matter).” Steph Curry, LeBron fierce rival on the court, joined hands with the four-time MVP to show his support to the issue.
