Los Angeles Lakers seemed to have intensified their talks with Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks in an attempt to lure their star men. Reports suggest that the Lakers have been looking to add Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo to their roster. The reports emerged after rumors suggested that the Lakers not getting along well with their current stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

As a franchise, the Lakers have been experiencing one of the worst decades in their history. They have not won a Championship since 2010 and not been in playoffs since the retirement of Kobe Bryant. Also, Bryant’s retirement left the team without a superstar. A void that has been impossible to fill.

In 2018, the Lakers acquired LeBron James from Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the roster was still incomplete as the Lakers continued to struggle. Last summer, the Lakers brought in Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans in a trade deal that saw a few of their players move to the latter. The signing of Davis raised expectations among the fans. The prospect of an exciting partnership between Davis and James took root.

They lived up to the hype as the season went on. While James has been the league’s top provider with over 10 assists per game, Davis has been consistent on both ends of the court. Davis has averaged an impressive 26.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game this season. Their performances have led the Lakers to the top of the Western Conference with a praise-worthy record.
