Two former teammates at Boston Celtics, Kendrick Perkins and Paul Pierce had opposite views on LeBron James. while talking on ESPN’s Countdown show. Paul Pierce felt Miami Heat should have achieved much more when they had the big-three of James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

“Let’s be honest. When we saw that LeBron was going to Miami with D Wade and Chris Bosh, did you not think they would run the table? It was like, that team, nobody can beat them. They should’ve been 1-4, they skated with 2-4 but they probably should’ve won 3 out of 4,” he said.

It was only last week that Pierce had named his top-five NBA players of all-time and excluded LeBron James from the list. Pierce backed his non-selection of James saying he never built an organization from the scrap while a few others like Michael Jordan had done.

I know he (Pierce) had to really prep for LeBron James and when we got to the Lakers it was smacked up six,” Perkins said.

He also has four MVP awards to his name. James has also been a fan-favorite since his arrival in the NBA. The only season he wasn’t a part of the All-Star game was in his rookie season.

Given his fitness levels, James does seem to have a few more years of basketball left and he can only add to his accolades.
