The last time Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors met, the dubs were left heartbroken. The Warriors’ loss then meant that they had lost the NBA Championship. But the Warriors’ loss on Thursday had very little implications on the season. On Thursday, it was more about the return of Stephen Curry from injury and less about the result.

“It feels like the first day of school pretty much all over again,” Curry said prior to the game. “It’s kind of just getting back to enjoying playing basketball at the highest level. There’s a process to that.”

LeBron James & Dwayne Wade among people expressing their feelings over the return of Stephen Curry

Among the many people who tweeted their happiness to see Curry back on the court, former Miami Heat stars LeBron James and Dwayne Wade were the most notable. Although Curry is a direct competitor to LeBron James, the 35-year old Lakers star didn’t back down from showing some love to his fellow player.

“Happy to see Stephen Curry back out there again! Nothing like being in your sanctuary! The game missed you,” a tweet from James’ twitter handle read.
