In an interview, Pelicans’ JJ Redick reflected upon CP3 and his addition to the existing talent of Devin Booker. He expressed, “I don’t know that he’ll add anything to his game, I mean Devin clearly is constantly adding his own things to his game. But look there’s a level of professionalism, there’s a level of a cutthroat approach to winning that CP has, that I think Devin will gravitate towards right away. The impact on someone’s career, that long-term impact, that to me is what’s really important. I think they’ll be a great combo for the next however many years.”

What’s in it for Paul?

The 10-time NBA All-star’s addition has assured a rising star like Booker that the Suns’ management can attract right pieces. For Paul,  the Suns became that one team that could house his hefty contract without harming their core. CP3 is well past his prime where he dominated the ball and created independent shots using his dribbling and spacing skills. At Phoenix, he will have players like Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson to help him along with others.
