The Boston Celtics are one of the greatest franchises in NBA history, but they have struggled to win an NBA Championship in the modern era. The last time they won an NBA title was back in 2008. But looking at their current roster, it seems like it is just a matter of time before they achieve greatness.
The offseason has been pretty great for the Celtics. They locked in their young star Jayson Tatum to a massive deal and also allowed Gordon Hayward to walk out. Many believe not re-signing Hayward to a bigger deal was one of the best decisions of the NBA offseason.

Marcus Smart – Shooting Guard
Marcus Smart partners up with Walker on the backcourt for the team. While Walker handles most of the playmaking duties, Smart is known for his defensive prowess. Smart had a great postseason with the team and the Celtics will expect more of the same from the 26-year-old.
Jaylen Brown – Small Forward
Jaylen Brown, who has developed into a phenomenal player, will fill the no. 3 spot for the Celtics. Last season, he averaged 20.3 points per game and was second in command to their star, Jayson Tatum. The 24-year-old is just getting started and has the potential to become a leader for this young Celtics roster.
Jayson Tatum – Power Forward
Jayson Tatum is hands-down the best player on the Boston Celtics’ team. When he was drafted by the team, many expected him to be a solid player. Not only did he live up to those expectations but also outgrew them in just three seasons.
