Stephen Curry responded to LeBron James‘ former manager Maverick Carter’s remarks of saying he was not a very good defender. Carter made those comments on the Golden State Warriors star in a discussion with Draymond Green and Paul Rivera over Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance.
Carter drew parallels to the dominant Chicago Bulls team with Jordan and the current Warriors team. He said that Jordan was extremely good in what he did but he still needed support from the likes of Scottie Pippen. Carter felt that when someone is extremely good at one aspect in the game, he might be behind in some other aspect and that is where the teammates come in.
Like Jordan had Pippen and others then, Carter felt Warriors’ Curry needs defensive support from the likes of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. While acknowledging Curry’s shooting skills, Carter had said that he was not as good in defence.
