The CU Buffs are in an untenable spot to be one of the 12 teams under the recently introduced playoff format after their loss over Kansas. In the AP Poll, Deion Sanders and Co. fell from 16th to 23rd place. They probably would have qualified for the playoffs if they had won last weekend and this weekend. But in actuality, they will now participate in an NCAA bowl game, which isn’t terrible given that they haven’t competed in one since 2020 and haven’t attended one since 2004. And in light of all of this, the head coach organized a Thanksgiving dinner for his Buffs nation.
Deion Sanders posted a set of images to his Instagram account on November 28th, captioning them, “Thanksgiving Dinner with my @cubuffsfootball family. #CoachPrime (pics by @merekdarckel).” Several pleased grins of Buffs players and their families were shown in those photos. Colorado’s HC was observed to be occupied with speaking with his mother, Connie. In addition to all of this, those photos show a lot of delectable food on the table and a quite tasteful musical arrangement.

It only means that Buffs’ Thanksgiving supper was fantastic. Even more remarkable was Deion Sanders’ sincere expression of gratitude. Although it seems nearly impossible, the loss does not mathematically exclude them. “Let’s Praise God because of who He is to you & not just what He’s done for you. That’s Thanksgiving!” Deion wrote on his account shortly prior to Thanksgiving dinner. Buffs HC frequently shares sermons or Bible passages on his account. He also does this when giving lectures to his players, and even when he is reprimanding them, he refrains from using profanity and carefully selects his words, even when he is obviously unhappy.
However, this message is about genuinely enjoying the gift of life and good health, not only for the material goods or the deals. Everybody encounters difficult circumstances, some more difficult than others, so as Deion says, it’s always a good idea to be grateful for what counts most: being healthy and finding joy in each day, especially in the face of stress.

Despite all of these positive aspects, there is a worry about the Buffs’ shaky hopes of winning the Bowl game. Let’s explore it in more detail.
Deion Sanders and Co.’s Bowl game hope
Hold on, Deion sent a more thorough but comparable message, encouraging his fans to express gratitude once more. He must also be pleading with God to grant his team at least a bowl game this season. The top of the Big 12 is currently tied in four ways. Two of those teams will compete for a CFP berth in the title game. Buffs’ victory next weekend will not assure them a berth because they are trailing the rest in the tiebreaker.

Deion and Co. will require a lot of assistance to remain in the running for the Big 12 championship as they play Oklahoma State (3-8) to end the regular season. The head coach has been outstanding with his team this season, regardless of the result. They would conclude the season with nine victories, which is their highest total since they won ten in 2016. The turnaround is impressive given that the team only won four games last year and one two years ago. Now, let’s see what transpired.
