Over the last couple of days, we have seen an argument between Karen Khachanov and Nick Kyrgios. It began when the Australian made some disrespectful comments about Mats Wilander and the Russian wasn’t happy about it.

They have written many tweets against each other but Khachanov insists that he does not have a problem with him. In a recent interview, he said,

“I don’t have any problem with Nick and I always said that I respect him… I don’t know why he acts sometimes the way he acts. Maybe, you should ask him and not me.”

The Russian went on to reveal why he did not appreciate Nick’s tweets against Mats Wilander. He said,

“I was raised like this in my family, to always respect older people, first of all, respect higher-status people. I’m not saying that you need to do something unbelievable, but just to show respect, especially to players in our sport which done a lot of things. But, even like this, you need to show respect to players who are lower in ranking, as well.”

the Russian star may not have liked Kyrgios’ comments but he is not going to let it affect him at Roland Garros. As a NextGen star, he’s looking to win his first Grand Slam there but it is not going to be easy at all.

He knows this as he has already faced some tough opponents like Jiri Vesely. The upcoming rounds are just going to become tougher but we can expect him to be ready. Tomorrow, he will be facing Christian Garin and hopefully, he can win easily.
