Instead of action-shooters or the currently popular Battle Royale genre, Netflix plans to stick to what it knows best. Stranger Things 3: The Game was a beat ’em up arcade-style game that the company managed to popularize. Therefore, with a long line of exclusive movies and TV shows, we might see similar projects from the company in the future.

In fact, according to further reports, Netflix plans to launch an Apple Arcade-style bundle of games without advertisements. This would mean that the company’s focus isn’t on the graphics or the engine and the mechanics. Instead, it wants to deliver an immersive experience to its audience just like it does with visual media.

La Casa de Papel, popularly known as Money Heist, has emerged as one of the most successful shows on Netflix. Similarly, To All the Boys is also a popular franchise amongst teens and young adults. According to Netflix, these might be the best choice of exclusives if the company continues with video game adaptations once it properly establishes its gaming division.

Members also enjoy engaging more directly with stories they love–through interactive shows like Bandersnatch and You v. Wild, or games based on Stranger Things, La Casa de Papel, and To All the Boys. So we’re excited to do more with interactive entertainment.
