This season has been an unfortunate one for Miami Dolphins’ running back De’Von Achane, as he grapples with yet another injury setback. During Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Achane made his comeback to the field after a week 5 injury. However, his return was short-lived as he sustained another knee injury, forcing him to exit the game.

After only three snaps, Achane was seen jogging gingerly, prompting his departure from the game. He did not rejoin the field for the rest of the game.

Dolphins’ HC Mike McDaniel informed that Achane suffered an injury on the same knee that he was dealing with for the last few weeks. Although the Dolphins’ trainers cleared Achane to play, Coach McDaniel was extra cautious and kept him out of the game. He explained, “He was politicking to try to come back in the game, but I was a little worried off the rust to go and do that. We kind of held him back, and we’ll see what it looks like tomorrow.”

McDaniel has also mentioned that they’ve received positive feedback regarding Achane’s injury. But the HC has not confirmed whether Achane will play in Friday’s game against the New York Jets. He stated, “There is a chance that he will and he won’t.” McDaniel and the Dolphins are exercising extra caution regarding the player’s injury for now.

The Dolphins have one of the best offenses in this league. Their average points per game stand at 30.5, and they gain an average of 434 yards per game. Conversely, the Jets’ defense ranks fourth in terms of yards allowed per play, sitting at 4.71. However, with several issues to address, their main concern revolves around determining their starting QB, especially after Zach Wilson was benched in the previous game.
