Jaire Alexander Sits Out of the MNF Clash Between the Packers and the Giants

The Monday Night football game is about to kick off at 8:15 p.m. from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey ET. Ahead of the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers matchup, the teams have released their list of inactives. Around 5 players are inactive from the Giants, including WR Parris Campbell, RB Jashaun Corbin, S Gervarrius Owens, OLB Boogie Basham, and T Evan Neal.

On the other hand, the Packers are missing out on six of their players. The Green team’s inactive are LB Quay Walker, WR Christian Watson, CB Kyu Blu Kelly, RB Aaron Jones, and T Caleb Jones as the first five, while including a relatively shocking name of CB Jaire Alexander in the list.

Before playing against each other, the Packers and Giants have monitored and released their combined 11 players in total. Aaron Jones, who was suffering from a knee injury from the Los Angeles Chargers game, was under the questionable category. Now the final report suggests that he won’t be playing in the MNF game.

Furthermore, Christian Watson (Hamstring), and Jaire Alexander (Shoulder), who has been showing his impressive performances lately, are ruled out of the game. This will be Alexander’s fifth game in a row where he will not be playing. For the past four weeks, there was uncertainty about whether he could play, as he was listed under the questionable category after his November 5 injury.

But now it’s confirmed that he won’t be joining in with his team to battle against the Giants. This two-time All-Pro player has only played in five games this season, and has allowed opponents to complete passes 65.4% of the time.


Additionally, he’s tied for third place on the team in breaking up passes, having defended against four of them. Besides Alexander and Watson, Quay Walker (Shoulder), cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly and tackle Caleb Jones are also out of the game.

On the other hand, Giants’ Parris Campbell is out because of his knee injury. Jashaun Corbin, Gervarrius Owens, and Boogie Basham have been benched due to unknown reasons. Furthermore, tackle Evan Neal, who is suffering from an ankle injury, has been rested and will be out of the game.

Meanwhile, the Giants and the Packers, both teams, sit in third rank in their East and North NFC divisions, respectively. The Giants have four wins and eight losses to their name so far, while the Packers have 6 each on the wins and losses.
