The New York Jets have finally taken off. Quarterback Justin Fields led his team to its second win of the 2025 season with a 27-20 score in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Aaron Glenn remains concerned despite the win, citing the team’s sluggish first-half performance.

“I wasn’t happy just in general offense or defense right in that first half. But I thought in the second half we did some things to give us a chance to win, and at the end of the day that’s all that matters,” Glenn said in his post-game conference.
The New York Jets started the game fast but couldn’t finish the first half strong. Their offense did almost nothing early, but special teams gave them life.

Aaron Glenn says he has to look at the film before commenting on Justin Fields’ performance today:

Kick returner Kene Nwangwu ran a kickoff back 99 yards for a touchdown. Just minutes later, punt returner Irvin Williams returned one 74 yards for another score. Those two explosive plays gave the Jets a 14-7 lead in the first quarter, even though Aaron Glenn’s offense wasn’t moving the ball.
Fields struggled to find rhythm. He completed only 3 passes for 5 yards and threw an interception. The Jets gained just 62 total yards and had only 4 first downs before halftime. Running back Breece Hall showed some flashes in the ground game but didn’t have much help.

The Browns gained 156 yards and held the ball for 18 minutes and 33 seconds.
Jets kicker Nick Folk made a field goal to give them a 17-14 lead, but the Browns tied it up before halftime, 17-17. The Jets stayed in the game thanks to their special teams, not their offense. After a quiet third quarter with no points from either side, Breece Hall stepped up in the fourth. He ran with power and became the key to the Jets’ offense.

He finished with 83 yards on 21 carries and caught a 42-yard touchdown from Fields. That was the team’s only offensive touchdown all game. Justin Fields looked a little sharper but still made mistakes.
He threw another interception and took three more sacks. The offense ran the ball better but couldn’t score in the red zone. Nick Folk’s field goal with six minutes left in the final quarter stretched the lead to 27-17. That’s when Glenn knew they could win.
In the end, they won the game. The frustration was their signal caller’s performance.

Aaron Glenn is worried about Justin Fields
QB Justin Fields has played poorly for the New York Jets this season. He has not met expectations after joining the team. His play has been inconsistent and often frustrating to watch. Fields has completed 63.5% of his passes for 1,143 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 1 interception in 8 games.
The 26-year-old has rushed for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns, but the Jets have struggled under his lead. He opened strong against the Steelers with 218 passing yards, a touchdown, and two rushing scores. But things unraveled, he went just 3-of-11 for 27 yards against the Bills in a blowout loss, as the offense looked completely lost.

Fields showed flashes against the Dolphins, throwing for 226 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 81 yards and another score. But New York still came up short. His good games rarely turn into wins.
The Jets finally won against the Bengals and the Browns. Still, Fields didn’t play well. He threw for only 54 yards against Cleveland. His rushing kept drives alive, but his passing failed to make an impact.
In his five-year career, Fields has completed 61.5% of his passes for 8,869 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 31 interceptions. He has also rushed for 2,797 yards and 22 touchdowns. His legs remain his best weapon, but defenses now expect it. This year, Fields averages 6.4 yards per pass attempt and has taken 25 sacks.
He still struggles to read defenses and sense pressure. Unless he improves soon, Aaron Glenn may need to rethink their quarterback plan.
