The injury caps a challenging season for Jones. He just returned to the lineup on Sunday after a three-game break due to an injury in his neck. And, now, another unfortunate incident has left the star back in the same spot. On Sunday night against the Raiders, the QB suffered a minor injury at the end of the first quarter, but he managed to continue the game.

However, the second-quarter injury turned matters ugly for him. It was a distressing moment for the footballer and the NFL fans who were happy with Jones’s entry after a three-game break. Following the same, fans shared a compiled emotional video of Jones, depicting his staggering contributions to the side.

The sentiments were truly recognized by everyone around, and the video was posted on X (Twitter) by MLFootball captioning, ”Fans put together a video for Daniel Jones thanking him for everything since it *may* be the end of his time in New York”. While the emotions grabbed the center of attention, hints toward Jones’ possible exit from the side permanently did not fail to make rounds of the NFL world.

It was overwhelming for all the Jones fans who wished to see him on the field. Unfortunately, the QB couldn’t deliver much this season due to his injuries. However, now that the athlete will be staying away from the field for the rest of the season, he will have plenty of time to recover from the knee injury. Meanwhile, who will take over QB’s place for the rest of the season remains the question for the Giants.

Who will replace Daniel Jones?

The injury presents a significant challenge for the head coach Brian Daboll as the team is already under performing this season at 2-7. Additionally, the New York Giants are at the bottom in the NFC East division. Giants are further under pressure now, as Jones’ backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor also suffered an injury during the last match against the NY Jets. However, now the speculation is that the un-drafted Rookie Tommy DeVito will be the probable replacement of Jones.
