With the effectively funny Keegan-Michael Key hosting the NFL Honors 2024, it was to be expected that jokes would fly around. But Taylor Swift or her fanbase might not take this joke too well. This is not the first time the pop icon’s involvement in the NFL has been questioned at an award ceremony.

Swift started attending the games of the Kansas City Chiefs in September. She has seen her beau Travis Kelce win and lose. But her commitment has been unaverred. So, this jibe by comedian Key might have been unwarranted.

Taylor Swift reeled into the mix

Earlier this year in January, the Chiefs were taking on the Chargers in Los Angeles. A few hours later, was the Golden Globes ceremony. Since Kelce did not take part in the game, she skipped the game. And went to the Golden Globes.

And the host for the night, Jo Koy, made a joke at her expense. Swift braced it with complete stoicism. But now, she is on the receiving end of another joke, this time at the hands of Key. Accomplished comedian, Key struck two birds with one stone. “Who would’ve thought we’d see a season where Taylor Swift went to more playoff games than Bill Belichick”, said the 52-year-old comedian.

Once again, questioning Swift’s involvement with football. But the pop icon doesn’t need to speak. She will be showing her commitment to the game and Kelce, by her actions!

A Super Bowl to rush for

The 12-time Grammy winner, Swift, has resumed her ‘Eras Tour’ international leg. She’ll be performing at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on 10th February, just a day before the Super Bowl. And then, she’ll be rushing back to support her man.

With 10-11 hours in her private jet, Swift will cross the international date line, on her way back to the States. Hence, when she lands in Las Vegas, the date will still be 10th February. She’ll have enough time to rest and recuperate. With the Super Bowl on her mind, it’s highly unlikely she’ll care for these jokes!
