It’s likely that the axe will come for McCarthy’s head. After all, he was really disappointed after the Packers defeat. He called it “one of the biggest surprises“. And as if that wasn’t enough, he was “floored” by the blowout loss. But if McCarthy is to be shown the door, who will replace him? And it looks like the Cowboys fanbase got an inkling of it beforehand. After the humiliation, X was flooded with one name. “Bill Belichick”. Cowboys fans want the “most successful coach in football history” to coach their team. And Jones happens to want the same as well. And Belichick’s name isn’t being thrown around randomly. The two have history.

He didn’t even have a single Super Bowl win to boast of. This was before he joined the New England Patriots. At the time, he was looking for a job. And what did Bill tell Jones? “I can coach if you ever get an opportunity, don’t forget about me.
