“I want to be someone that the kids can look up to.” Patrick Mahomes has already built a legacy bigger than football in just eight seasons. On and off the field, he’s shown up with heart, hustle, and purpose. So when his kids grow up, they’ll know exactly who their dad is. Sure, the Super Bowls are great, but Mahomes has his eyes on something even bigger – “to be the greatest Patrick Mahomes that I can be.” And with his latest announcement, it’s clear he’s still chasing that dream, as he’s doing it the right way.
Yes! Mahomes isn’t just winning on the field, he’s making major moves off it, too. On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs QB took to X with some big news that he’s teaming up with $75 billion Airbnb to give fans a chance to meet him in person. Yeah, you read that right!
Mahomes dropped a promo clip with the caption, “This is about to be epic!! #airbnbpartner.” He followed it up with a few fun photos. One with a football, another with golf gear, and even one holding a “Champions Patrick Mahomes Sunday Funday” award meant for the lucky fans. Sharing the same, he teased, “Excited to host a Sunday Funday in KC – you in?”

For context, Airbnb is flipping the script. It’s no longer just about renting a place to stay. CEO Brian Chesky wanted to go bigger, way bigger. Back when they launched in 2008, the goal was simple: let people rent out their homes and make travel more personal. But Chesky always saw that as just the beginning. Fast forward to now, and the company’s rolling out a whole new version of its app, packed with experiences, services, and even a social vibe that feels like the early days of social media.
Think massages, personal chefs, workout sessions, or local adventures like baking in Paris or wrestling in Mexico City. And even to make it wilder, Airbnb teamed up with some big names, including Patrick Mahomes. Besides him, the fans could also get the chance to meet Sabrina Carpenter on set, and even Megan Thee Stallion. The reason behind doing this is: What if people could book time with incredible individuals, from celebrity chefs to designers, and connect with other guests too? That’s exactly what Airbnb is building now.
Partnering with this giant, Mahomes shared his excitement, too. He said, “Teaming up with Airbnb to create the perfect offseason Sunday is a chance to share something special with the fans. We’re bringing together all the best parts of a Sunday funday — backyard games, authentic KC barbecue, and a little friendly competition — all in great company!” Indeed, it’s gonna be great fun for the fans and the Chiefs QB this offseason. So, are you guys ready for it?
Meanwhile, Airbnb was not the only recent collaboration of Patrick Mahomes. He joined with Adidas, too, for a special cause.

We are all aware of the fact that Patrick Mahomes collaborated with Adidas way back in 2017. He’s giving back to where it all began.

This offseason, the Chiefs’ QB teamed up with Adidas. He surprised 15 high school football teams across the country with custom uniforms, each one stamped with his signature ‘Gladiator‘ logo. And one of those schools is his own alma mater, Whitehouse High. Interestingly, it also just honored him with a spot in the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.
No doubt, it was a full-circle moment for Patrick Mahomes, who’s using his platform to inspire young athletes to chase greatness the same way he did. This isn’t his first move either. Last year, he introduced the Gladiator logo at Texas Tech. And now he’s bringing that same energy to high school fields. The custom jerseys are set to debut in the 2025-2026 season, each one a reminder of Mahomes’ “all in” mindset. Also, a big push for the next generation to follow his lead. So, yeah, it would be safe to say that one thing’s for sure: Mahomes is out here showing love to his people.
