The Kansas City Chiefs showed up and showed out against the Houston Texans, flexing their dominance with a win that left no doubts. Leading the charge? None other than Patrick Mahomes, doing what he does best-making magic happen just like his nickname “Magician”. But it wasn’t just Mahomes making waves. His trainer, Bobby Stroupe, decided to get in on some action, throwing some shade after the game that made the victory even sweeter.

After the game, Stroupe posted a savage Instagram story featuring a snapshot of Mahomes making Texans defensive tackle Tim Settle Jr. look silly. The caption? “This guy said a lot this week.” Ouch! The story, paired with the A$AP Ferg track Thought I Was Done, was the perfect mic drop moment. It was clear Stroupe wasn’t holding back, calling out Settle for all the previous trash talk.

Now, about that trash talk, Settle had some bold things to say leading up to the game. He questioned Mahomes’ ability to move, saying, “Pat’s a little banged up. I hope he’s mobile enough, ’cause we comin’ to Arrowhead.” Oh, and he also took a swipe at the Chiefs’ O-line, calling them out for their “loopholes” and claiming Houston’s D-line would feast. But the O’line did just good as any game. With Kareem Hunt contributing 55 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Patrick Mahomes, aka ‘Showtime’, didn’t just let his game talk he made his feet do the talking too. Early in the matchup, he weaved through defenders, left Settle on the ground, and capped it off with a 15-yard rushing touchdown. It was the ultimate ‘talk less, play more’ moment, and Settle? He ended up eating every word he said. That’s why people call Mahomes the ‘Magician’.

In the end, Bobby Stroupe’s post said it best. Settle might’ve talked a lot, but Mahomes and the Chiefs let their performance do the talking and it spoke volumes. Even though Mahomes played through the ankle injury, there were some speculations.

Ankle injury or not, can anything stop Mahomes?

All week, everyone was talking about Mahomes’ ankle, but he wasn’t hearing it. “If I’m out there, I’m good to go,” he said, brushing off the injury drama like it was nothing. Even Andy Reid wasn’t sure how much Mahomes could handle, but when game time came, Mahomes made it clear: he’s built different. “I can play through pain and push through it,” he said.

He threw for 260 yards and a touchdown, moving like his usual self, even with the injury concerns. ’15-yard touchdown for the 15′ Straight-up is amazing. Mahomes made defenders look like they were stuck in the mud, and some fans thought he faked the injury. But hey, at the end of the day, Mahomes got the W. “I’m always going to go out and try to do everything I can to help the team,” he said, proving that pain is no match for his willpower.
