Brock Purdy recently announced his partnership with Pioneer Seeds, and just a few days later, he was spotted on a John Deere tractor. In the ad, Purdy, backed up by 49ers O-Lineman Colton McKivitz, was on a quest to find the ‘Chief Tractor Officer’ for JD. Believe it or not, that’s a real job!

John Deere’s recent IG video was captioned, “Ready for the gig of a lifetime? Link in bio.” It shows Purdy and McKivitz getting in the tractor. Their agenda: cross-country road trip. But they didn’t need to go far before candidates started blowing up Purdy’s phone.

Tyrese Haliburton and tennis player Anna Frey were the first to call him seeking that job. But like these two, many others found the job description appalling and they applied to get in. Their recent Instagram video shows it all.

“The quarterback of tractoring,” said McKivitz as Purdy followed with, “The QB of JD.” The duo started their journey and McKivitz pulled out some snacks. As soon as Purdy hit the gas, he got a call from Tyrese Haliburton saying, “Brock, I want the job, we went to college together and you know we have that connection!” Purdy mocked the Pacers’ Point Guard for being in the “big leagues” as McKivitz pointed out the QBs failed attempt at baseball humor.

The next phone call came from the Olympian Gabby Douglas, who hinted that she was eyeing a gold medal this time. “Road trip on 3,” said Purdy as he finally decided to move and got another phone call! This time, it was his lookalike, Anna Frey, who is a USTA #3 tennis player. “Brock, we’re basically twins. You’ve gotta give me the job,” said the tennis player as the duo in the tractor agreed to Purdy and Frey looking alike. Even Tariq the “corn” kid called among a couple of others.

Purdy already getting poached for job offers

Purdy’s phone was blowing up in the ad and even IJustine called! Later in the ad, it was revealed that anyone could apply for the job as long as they made a “compelling video” and tagged the company on all social media platforms. But Tyrese Haliburton, being Purdy’s old friend couldn’t wait.

In the comment section, the Pacers PG wrote, “Give me a shot Brock, you know I’ll make it! #ad.” Even people from the 49ers’ squad want to join in. Jon Feliciano, the 49ers guard also commented, “Crazy you ain’t pick me for this @brock.purdy13 u can make it up to me by getting me a new zero turn lawnmower for the farm!! Help a brother out 😬

The comment section was full of people telling their picks for the job. It’s safe to say that their marketing tactics worked, and they are getting more and more engagement by the minute. Safe to say that JD will find their QB soon enough.
