Prescott notably secured second place despite not receiving any first-place votes. One more evening highlight was Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco, who triumphed as the Associated Press NFL Comeback Player of the Year. Naturally, he surpassed the Buffalo Bills‘ Damar Hamlin. Despite Hamlin’s courageous return from a life-threatening cardiac arrest episode and leading in first-place votes, he didn’t win.
