Finally, Kansas City Chiefs fans got what they were looking for. The romantic interests of their beloved on-field partners in one frame! But not exactly in the way we wanted. A post surfaced online that is bound to reignite rumors of a Taylor-Brittany rivalry. And netizens are pouring in with their two cents on the entire issue.

As anticipated, Taylor Swift was at MetLife Stadium, to cheer her boyfriend, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce. But unlike in the first game she attended, where she and Brittany Mahomes were in two different boxes, the two watched the match from the same box. And gave the internet a very meme-able moment.

Brittany Mahomes hates Taylor Swift?

In the Facebook post, Taylor Swift can be seen talking animatedly to the serious Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds, holding him by his wrist. In the lower part of the image, we see Brittany Mahomes, scowling at something on her phone. The post was captioned, “Nobody hates the amount of attention Taylor Swift is getting as much as Brittany Mahomes.” With the camera panning to Taylor, broadcasting her every reaction, can we blame Brittany? She never got that much attention.

But, unfortunately for netizens who were looking for drama, everything seems to be good between the two celebs. Before the Jets vs. Chiefs game, the two were seen partying together. Other A-listers in that party included Sophie Turner and Blake Lively. Taylor had her arms lovingly over Travis Kelce. This was also the party where Brittany and Taylor sealed their friendship by drinking shots and promising to hang out again soon.

The post attracted a lot of comments from eager netizens. Most of them were from football fans who were complaining that Taylor was taking too much screen time and they just wanted to see the game. The sentiment was echoed by Ray Jackson, “I was annoyed they kept putting the camera on her during the game“. Some came to Brittany’s defense and believed that she was being unnecessarily pitted against Taylor Swift for social media drama. Joel Thompson said, “Mahomes is so perfect that the media literally can’t do anything to hate on him so they target his wife…. bahaha.”

Our theory is that maybe Brittany is just very used to all the entire football experience and it was not as novel for her as for Taylor. Or maybe she was scowling because Patrick was having a bad day on the gridiron. It was the first time in her SB MVP husband’s career history that he had been outplayed by the opposing QB. Jets QB, Zach Wilson recorded more completions, passing yards, TD passes, and fewer interceptions than Mahomes. The Chiefs may have won the match that day, but the real winner was Zach Wilson. He made a comeback no one had expected. But the question is, will he continue to do well?
