With the transfer portal open, both players and coaches are in a frenzy of excitement as new things unfold before our eyes. Coaches are on the road right now hunting for the best prospects to prepare themselves for the next season. Among them are Georgia Bulldogs HC Kirby Smart and Alabama Crimson Tide HC Nick Saban who hit the road to meet their top prospects. 

With so much competition, college football head coaches need to be smarter than the rest to stay on top of the game. An elite player addition can potentially boost the performance and turn the team around. Here are five NCAA coaches of the top college football programs who visited their prospective recruits recently. 

Head coaches meet their elite recruits

One of the most promising things about the Bulldogs is that they’re going to potentially win two elite players. As is already clear, Georgia is one of the best college football teams with an overall season record of 12-1. On Wednesday, head coach Kirby Smart visited the team’s commits, 5-star LB Justin Williams and 4-star DL Joseph Jonah-Ajonye.

The Alabama Crimson Tide also has a consensus 4-star prospect who played at Daingerfield High School in Texas. Head coach Nick Saban traveled to Texas to meet Aeryn Hampton on Wednesday. Hampton is the No. 9 ATH in the nation and the No. 21 player in the state. Would Nick Saban be able to win the two-way star who can play both as a wide receiver and defensive back?

Auburn Tigers HC Hugh Freeze visited 5-star Plus+ safety and FSU commit KJ Bolden at his school and will also do an in-home visit. HC Ryan Day checked in with 4-star LB commit Payton Pierce who will be joining the Ohio State Buckeyes. As for the Miami Hurricanes, HC Mario Cristobal and DE coach Jason Taylor paid a visit to FSU 5-star DL commit, Armondo Blount

With a hectic recruiting process going on, changes will soon be reflected in the teams’ performances when they hit the field together as a team for the first time. These elite players are carefully selected by the head coaches of some of the most successful college football programs. Will they be able to live up to their hype?
