Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, and ex-Washington Commanders Carson Wentz have netizens’ eyes on their movements. They’ve swirled in profound speculations thanks to Wentz’s bear hunt and Mrs Mahomes’s picture kissing a dolphin. And now, recently, Kap collaborated with B&J to whip up some sweet ‘dessert movement’ for the 88,000,000 vegans worldwide. After the two “popular NFL stars” have been stuck in some cut-throat backlash, will this come as a “sweet justice”?

B&Js recent release might be “bringing things together”. The vegan band had much to say as the two stars were caught up in these ‘animal attacks’. But amidst all this, Kap is taking things forward with his initiatives.

Colin Kaepernick has gained some sweet new fans after his B&J release. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is known for boldly taking a stand and taking a knee during the 2016 national anthem. Recently, Kap reshared ESPN’s Patricia Yanez stories talking about his latest gifts for the vegans stating, “Learned two things today: 1: this creamy vegan ice cream is made with sunflower milk 2: part of the proceeds goes to @YOURRIGHTSCAMP”. Yanez is talking about Ben & Jerry’s, known for its commitment to social justice, which has partnered with Kaepernick to create a vegan ice cream flavor that supports important causes.

“Change the Whirled” is a delicious vegan treat made with sunflower milk butter. It boasts a delightful caramel base infused with fudge chips, graham cracker swirls, and chocolate cookie swirls. This comes in after a failed 2018 collaboration that B&J was looking forward to, but “Unfortunately, the timing just didn’t work out.” What’s truly inspiring to hear is that they succeeded, and now Colin Kaepernick is putting 100% of the proceeds from this Whirled project towards advancing the liberation and well-being of Black and brown communities through his Know Your Rights Camp.

B&J wrote, “We’re honored to be partnering with Colin Kaepernick in this movement to change the world, and we look forward to working together in the fight for justice and racial equity for a long time to come.” It’s clear that Kaepernick is making a significant impact.

But many ‘vegan’ fans see this as sweet revenge. It was after KC Current co-owner and influencer Brittany Mahomes and former Eagles (and Colts and Commanders) Wentz’s “animal cruelty” speculations. But what did the two do that put them in the spotlight of Kaps vegan fans worldwide?

Looking past the animals: Is it truly how it’s seen?

The NFL world was stunned by two players who made headlines with their recent adventures. The free-agent quarterback, Wentz was criticized after hunting a black bear with a bow and arrow in Alaska. He apparently fulfilled a lifelong dream, of the “bucket-list”. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany faced backlash from PETA after sharing her “vacation playdate” with a dolphin. There, she kissed the majestic animal, which PETA classifies as “dangerous.”

Regrettably, the photos were deleted from her Instagram page. However, these two events have sparked intense debate and controversy within the sports community. While some supported the stars saying, “This comment section is soft. Amazing kill!!” “That’s FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥” in the comment section. Even Athlon Sports wrote, “It’s pretty sad we live in a world where someone like Brittany Mahomes can’t post photos of her vacation without hearing from an organization like PETA.” after Mrs Mahomes decision.

Conversely, 88,000,000 vegans have criticized them. Though this debate goes on, it feels like a double-edged sword. There can’t be any right or wrong. After all, everything comes down ultimately to the perspective. It’s all about how you see it.
