After Denying Tyreek Hill the Highest Paid WR Title, Kansas City Chiefs Faces Another Player With Same Demand

The Kansas City Chiefs recently traded away their superstar WR Tyreek Hill. Tyreek wanted to become the highest-paid WR in the league. The Chiefs were not able to fulfill his demand. As a result, they had to part ways with Tyreek, and they had to trade him to the Dolphins.

The Chiefs are now once again facing a similar situation. Their LT Orlando Brown Jr. is rumored to be wanting to become the highest-paid LT in the league. Without any doubt, Brown Jr. is a very important player for the Chiefs, as he has transformed that O-Line into one of the best.

There is a strong possibility that the Chiefs will meet Orlando’s demand. It is mainly because enough is remaining in their salary cap after the departure of Tyreek. Moreover, Patrick Mahomes values his O-Line.

They protected him well last season, and the team would like to stick with the same players in the upcoming season. As a result, they would love to keep their core players intact after losing a big player like Tyreek Hill. However, things can change pretty quickly as they did with Tyreek.

Did the Chiefs make the right decision by trading away Tyreek Hill?

Tyreek Hill was a big part of the Chiefs’ dynasty so far. Hill, along with Kelce and Mahomes, destroyed the league for the past four seasons. Trading him was certainly a difficult decision for them.

The Chiefs were able to get some good assets with the trade and brought in reinforcements with the draft picks. It will be fair to say that the Chiefs have improved the depth of their roster. Tyreek’s departure resulted in the flexibility of their salary cap. And now, they will be able to keep their key players.

Their receiver core has a new look, but they still have many talented players. The Chiefs’ opponents will face difficulties covering many wide receivers rather than a single player, Tyreek Hill. Mahomes is quite confident ahead of the next season, and the team’s fans are also very excited.
