NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans might be the greatest fans in the eyes of wide receiver Mike Evans after recent actions. The Bucs fans did raise money in huge numbers following the wideout restructuring of his contract to help them stay below the salary cap. It will help the franchise field a competitive team for the upcoming 2022 NFL season. Evans will be making the sacrifice for the fourth time in hopes of bringing another Super Bowl to Tampa Bay, Florida.

It appears that news travels fast in Tampa as fans began to donate $13 to his charity, the Mike Evans Family Foundation. The number 13 is the jersey number he dons for the franchise every time he takes the field at the Raymond James Stadium.

According to the recent tweets by the foundation’s official Twitter handle, the donations have hit the $40,000 mark.

The support has been immense for Evans, who has been a consistent performer within the organization ever since he was drafted in 2014. He has been one of the best receivers in the team, with QB Tom Brady throwing passes for him. He continues to give back to the community every year by hosting their annual bowling classic and golf tournament.

While having a great time winning football games, he is looking to help the community off the field. Evans has been doing charitable work in both his hometown of Galveston, Texas, and also within Tampa. He believes being charitable is one of the duties of playing with the franchise. He considers himself the role model for the future generations in Tampa.

A major goal of his charitable work was empowering the youth towards education and taking a stand against domestic violence. Evans, however, will soon look to shift his focus to helping his teammates soon to win football games.

The Buccaneers wideout did have a steady 2021 season while recording 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Evans will be excited about the upcoming season like any other Buccaneer player due to the return of Tom Brady. The 7-time Super Bowl champion’s comeback will only be motivational and a positive lift for the entire franchise.
