Bill Belichick is a legendary head coach with a load of titles to back him up. But the recent form of his New England Patriots has brought even him under the microscope. Former Patriot blasts Bill Belichick

Former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel has blasted Bill Belichick after the news of his rift with QB Mac Jones became public. Reacting to the news, QB Robert Griffin III started the conversation. He just couldn’t seem to wrap his head around the reports that claimed that the Patriots tried to trade Jones away.

Samuel joined the conversation and had something to say about Belichick’s style as a head coach. He implied that Belichick has always done such ‘silly things’ but got away with because he had Tom Brady.

“The silly things he use to get away with because of Brady,” Samuel said in a reply to Griffin’s tweet.

Samuel won two Super Bowl titles under Belichick at the start of his career. He then left to join the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 after he fell out with Belichick’s way of things, which he called “a bad experience” in an interview in 2021.

After a disappointing season, reports emerged that the Patriots want to trade Jones away to start afresh. Reports of his rift with Belichick over seeking help outside the coaching staff also came to light. So what does the future hold for the young QB?
