The Match: Champions for Charity was an extremely entertaining affair. 5 time NFL MVP Peyton Manning backed up his trash talking by beating 6× Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady. It seemed to be a day to forget for Brady, however, he did have a moment on the golf course before experiencing a rather unfortunate wardrobe malfunction

The incident occurred on the 7th hole at Medalist Golf Club. Tom Brady played a rather below par game till here. However, in a true champion style he registered an eagle on a par 5 from 110 yards out.

As he bent to retrieve the ball from the hole his trousers split. This got picked up by the internet instantly as Brady scrambled to cover up. The quarterback sportingly concocted a few witty quips to the incident which was displayed all over social media.

The 42-year-old wrote, “Pants wanted in on social distancing I guess…”

Later on Memorial Day, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback showed that he had learned his lesson. He wrote, “Next time I’ll make sure to be wearing my UAGolf pants.”

The incident may help Brady learn to not celebrate a bit too much. He had promised it ain’t over yet and addressed Charles Barkley after the scintillating shot. “Shut your mouth, Chuck. Take some of that medicine.”

The Match was split into two halves. On the front nine each participant playing with their own ball. The duo with the lower score claimed the hole. Here Brady and Phil Mickelson fell three behind Manning and Tiger Woods.

On the back 9, both players teed off. Following this, the team selected the better tee and continued from there an alternate basis until they holed the ball. Here Mickelson and Brady who was in waterproof pants closed in to within a single hole. However, Woods sank a birdie on the final hole. This ended Brady’s hopes of mounting a late comeback of his own to one-up Peyton Manning.

However, it was entertaining, different from serious golf games, and raised a huge amount of money for Covid-19 relief efforts.
