Needless to say, Arizona would want nothing more than to turn around from this slump. According to NFL reporter Howard Balzer, they are meeting with Payton on Thursday.

The Cardinals are in the middle of a huge transition of power with Monti Ossenfort as their new GM. While fans in Arizona will stay hopeful, other contenders will be on the edge. After meeting with the Panthers and Texans, the sought-after head coach is also scheduled to meet the Denver Broncos. The Broncos, who were supposed to be destined for greatness, had a season that failed to classify as mediocre.

The Broncos would not want Payton at the Cardinals’
