As the NFL offseason continues, rumors continue to circulate about the future of one of the league’s greatest QBs of all time. Tom Brady. Brady emphatically started off the offseason by closing the curtains on his illustrious career. But the NFL world has seen this story before. Brady’s retirement has sent fans spiraling with theories about the QB eventually announcing his return. And while the debate over whether or not Brady will return to the field continues to rage on, it’s clear that his former teammate Rob Gronkowski believes that the rumors are just that: rumors.

Gronk is one of Brady’s closest friends. The duo have cemented their legacy as one of the most dominant pairings in the league. They combined to win four championships over the span of nearly a decade. If anyone knows what Brady is thinking, it’s Gronk. 

Rob Gronkowski reveals his thoughts on Tom Brady possibly returning

A report by Rich Eisen earlier this month sent the NFL world into frenzy. It confirmed what many believed to be true – Tom Brady might still return to the league. Conspiracy theories have raged on ever since, about Brady’s second potential return to the league. For his part, however, Brady was certainly quick to dismiss any rumors of his return. Fans though are still not entirely convinced.

Gronk is as honest as they come. When Gronk says something, you better believe he’s telling you the truth. He recently shared his thoughts on Brady’s rumored return, and he was clear and concise with his answer: 

“ I feel like Tom is definitely totally done playing.”

Gronk didn’t entertain any rumors of a mythical third wind to Brady’s career. Although he doesn’t speak for Tom, Gronk does not believe there’s any chance of us seeing the GOAT QB return to the playing field.

“I’m not speaking for Tom. Just from everything I saw from his retirement video. I just feel like he is just done playing football”

So is Tom Brady really done? 

Of course, it’s worth noting that Gronkowski’s opinion is just that: an opinion. He hasn’t spoken to Brady directly about the topic, and he’s not privy to any inside information that the rest of us aren’t. He made that fairly clear. That being said, Gronkowski’s comments do carry some weight. After all, he knows Brady better than almost anyone else. 

It’s also worth noting that Gronkowski isn’t the only person who believes that Brady is done playing. Many experts and analysts have speculated that Brady’s retirement announcement was genuine and that he has no plans to return to the field. After all, Brady has accomplished just about everything that there is to accomplish in the NFL.

So, what does all of this mean for the future of Tom Brady? At this point, it’s impossible to say for sure. There are compelling arguments on both sides of the debate. Until Brady himself makes a decision, it’s all just speculation.
