As a fan, keeping an unbiased look at all the calls and decisions made by the referees is quite a fallacy. Especially when they are against your own team. An example, of this act of looking at these decisions with goggles of loyal support to the team and not reasoning, will be none other than Brittany Mahomes. She often looks out for her husband Patrick Mahomes.
That call was TRASH

Recently, she came forward to protest some calls made against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs played their division rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, in Week 5 of the season. When Chris Jones tackled Derek Carr on a 3rd and 8th play, the ball came loose and then recovered by Jones. What looked like an important stop and recovery was flagged.
The referees called the game back and penalised Jones for roughing the passer, giving the Raiders the automatic first down. They finished the drive, scoring a 50-yard field goal. Stretching their lead over Kansas City with a 20-7 score going into the second half.
Referring to the same call, which caused dismay to the whole of the Chiefs’ Kingdom, Brittany expressed her disappointment. She called the referees’ decision ‘TRASH’. However, this did not sit well with many fans and she has since been subject to a lot of backlashes.
Fans call out Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany for her comment
Brittany Mahomes is often under headlines for her remarks on other teams and the game in general. However, some fans seem to be infuriated with her blind support for her husband and the Chiefs.
Maybe have your husband explain the game to you so you actually know what is going on here?

This one fan tried to explain the call to her and why it was much more nuanced than just a simple misjudgement by the refs.
Not really. You have to make a play for the ball and bit just shield the offensive player. They both were legit.

Many fans called her out for having turned a blind eye to anything that goes against the Chiefs. And not having the same objectivity as other teams.
Nope.
It’s the rule and has benefited your guy many times. Just chill— The Gaffer (@ttgafger) October 11, 2022
This person even came to defend the referees and lay out the vulnerability of being susceptible to make mistakes even.
Come on! Please stop. I’ve been a HS referee for 21 plus years and yes we make mistakes. I am still a big fan of Pat and the chiefs but please try not to post hateful comments especially on Twitter. Now let’s go Chiefs.

Even though the call itself had ignited the fire among the fan base. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce managed to water down the anger by mounting an unbelievable comeback.
Chiefs vs Raiders
The second half began with the Kansas City Chiefs trailing 20-10. Kelce and Mahomes combined for 4 touchdowns. The Chiefs finished the game with a win. Having a 1-point lead over the Raiders with a score of 29-30.

Even on the other side, there were some close and lucky calls for the Chiefs as well. While they missed a field goal attempt, a holding call helped them turn the missed 3 points into 6. Also, counting the incomplete pass from Derek Carr to Davante Adams late in the 4th quarter was also in favour of the team in red.
